I slept pretty good. Probably the best I have ever slept the first night of a train trip (usually don\u2019t sleep cause I don\u2019t want to miss anything).<\/p>\n<p>We all got up before 6:00 (we will still on Central time). We went to breakfast at 6:30.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.craigmashburn.com\/travelblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_013111.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_0131[1]\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_0131[1]\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craigmashburn.com\/travelblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_01311_thumb1.jpg\" width=\"580\" height=\"434\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We had French toast all around.<\/p>\n<p>After breakfast, we spent the rest of the morning hanging in our rooms.<\/p>\n<p>We got to step off the train for a couple of minutes in San Bernardino\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.craigmashburn.com\/travelblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_013511.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_0135[1]\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_0135[1]\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craigmashburn.com\/travelblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_01351_thumb1.jpg\" width=\"580\" height=\"434\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>We arrived at Los Angeles Union Station around 11:00.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.craigmashburn.com\/travelblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_014211.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"IMG_0142[1]\" border=\"0\" alt=\"IMG_0142[1]\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craigmashburn.com\/travelblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_01421_thumb1.png\" width=\"580\" height=\"434\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>We missed our connecting train so we were put on another leaving at 12:25. I left the family waiting in the depot while I hopped on a trolley to pick up the rental car. I got it and swung by and picked them up.
